When I was a kid, my parents were always upset about money. They were always worried about money - having enough of it, or more of it - but also, what things cost and what money was being spent on. I remember constant reminders to "save my pennies" and the things I wanted and asked for were always being shut down because we "couldn't afford it." Yet, I watched as my parents spent money on things that seemed weird, or unnecessary to me. There was never an explanation or clarity around how money worked. As a child, this energy was confusing and even a little scary. Everything seemed so unsafe, and so ungrounded. How did one know if they had enough money, or if they could afford something? The pictures and energy constructs around me did not give me any clarity or insight, only obfuscation and fear.

Money is a tool, money has no inherent agenda.

What I didn't know as a child was that money itself is a tool. It's neutral, and it has no inherent agenda or life-force. Money always seemed this mysterious thing that had a life of its own - except it didn't. It has the energy, the pictures, and the agenda that one brings to it. Have you ever noticed that for some people, money just moves? And for some people energy just doesn't - it's always stuck? That's the energy that gets put on top of money - and just like all energies it can get messy!

I'm not talking about access to money, or social structures that control who gets to have money and who doesn't.

That's a different topic for a different post, and there's a lot to look at in that on a cultural, regional, and personal level. But this is about when you get money - paid from your job, inherited from family, loaned from a bank or the government - what happens to it? Where does it go? And who decides?

I was a mess with my money.

When I was in my early 20's I couldn't hold on to my money, or spend it on the things I wanted to experience - It seemed to have a life of its own, out of my control. So I tried every answer the self-help books gave me - I tried the envelope system, I tried budget apps, I tried controlling my spending and my finances down to the micro-level - trust me, I had tried everything. And then I learned how to read energy as a Clairvoyant and everything started to change.

I got a reading that changed my life - and my relationship to money.

I will never forget the magic of this reading I received from a fellow student in my training. They saw a picture of a money machine, one of those large tubes that were popular at arcades in the 90's - you'd stand in the tube and money would blow all around you, and you'd try to catch and hold as much as you could. The reader saw me in one of these tubes except that I as hard as I tried I could only hold so much - and it wasn't enough, or wasn't as much as was around me.

The reader described to me what would happen if I stopped playing this game - which was not fun and clearly not working - and that's that I let go of control and let all the money fall to the ground, and then the game stopped I just collected it up - all of it. More than I'd ever had before. Sounds so simple, but this hello was profound - I was trying to control my money so much that it had taken on an energy that wasn't reflective of me. It felt resonant with me that the picture of the money blowing around me was similar to the energy that my parents ran in their spaces when I was a child. I was in the same energy as them, and it wasn't working. I used my Clairvoyant tools, and changed the energy, right then and there.

My relationship to money in present time is very different.

What I learned about my own relationship to money is that the less I pay attention to it, and the less I try to control it - I always have enough for what I want to have or experience. I spend weeks, sometimes months, not looking at my bank and credit card balances - just making payments when needed on auto-pay, and letting things take care of themselves - and I always end up in the clear. It's a radical difference to both the out of control energy and the overly-controlling energy, and it works for me. Now I don't recommend this for everyone, but this is my answer and it has radically changed me life - and how money moves in my life.

You can change your relationship to money too.

The power of Clairvoyance is seeing energy, seeing these constructs and pictures, and being able to change them so that they work for you. This has broad application - not just to money, as in this personal story, but to everything in your life. Everything is energy, and when you're able to have your energy running the way it works for you in your life, it feels like magic!
