What you want, your dreams, and your desire are what you've been creating all your life. You may have been dreaming up something as simple as having a fun self-care thing to do or a really good meal. You may have also been dreaming something for yourself that seemed like it felt new but cherished.
The dream is an expression of you. It is, in a way, a dream of yourself. When you are having your dream you may feel most like yourself, most excited about your life, happy, and a variety of other feelings that may come up.
I had a dream when I was younger to study musical theater. At the time, in singing I felt like myself. I was vibrant, happy, and energized. It wasn't always easy but the way I felt when singing made it worth it. In dreaming up musical theater, I was dreaming up myself. You've likely dreamt of something, experienced it, and in those moments felt yourself within it too.
As your dreams for your life start to be realized, there is a period of growth - all the steps leading you from before your dream into the moment of it being real and beyond. All that growth can be exciting, make you feel nervous, or ecstatic. Yet, it is you getting in touch with a part of yourself you’ve dreamed of. Your dreams are of you. There is nothing ultimately that can get in the way of you connecting with yourself - or in the way of your dreams.
