There is so much you learn in your life. You start by learning how to support your body; standing, walking, running. You’ve got the basic tools for moving your body. From there, so much is possible. Perhaps you will use those very muscles, your tools in the body, to climb a hill, go for a marathon run, or even hike a mountain.

Many of the things you’ve learned in your life are ingrained within you. It is instinctive. Without thinking too much they simply happen. Yet, if you become complacent, assuming the things you’ve learned are simply as they were, you stop growing. What if you instead consider opening up what you’ve learned like an accordion, or an old library drawer, and see what more is inside? What if you expand upon the very things you’ve learned?

You can take what you’ve learned and see what’s possible, learn what it means for you, what it means to you in the world. What if you know your body understands balance. Perhaps, you explore walking on a rocky beach just for fun or because it feels good to you. You may understand what someone is saying behind complex words - you have a way with communication naturally. Perhaps you explore the nuance of language, what resonates within you, and the etymology to speak more clearly, so you are heard without effort - like a poet.

There is something to discover about the things you have been taught. In exploring what you’ve learned, making it personal, and understanding how it works for you, you are able to find new answers for yourself. Like an alchemist, curious about what happens when you mix part a with part c, you can make discoveries in your own life. What happens if you use your tool of grounding, that you learned in psychic essentials, before you go to sleep? What do you experience in your dreams? How do you feel when you wake up?

There are always new things to learn about any given tool. It’s like riding a bicycle, once you can hold yourself up, you get to decide where you’d like to go with this new skill and tool. It does takes applying them to your life. This is where the magic happens. This is where your tools become real.

Consider fire. Once upon a time, it was new and dramatic. Over time, through discovery, we’ve come so far with the possibilities of fire. We even learned we can contain it inside of tube, carry it around, and use it when we want in the shape of a lighter. Through curiosity and application, we’ve taken a simple tool and used it in remarkable ways.

There is so much to discover about your life, your body, your craft, your art, your meditation practice, your psychic tools, etc. It is inspiring and magical to consider that there will always be something new to discover. Just as we look up to the stars and see deeper, more clearly, more colorful than we expected, we discover new things everyday. There is a sort of magic to seeing something, and in seeing, knowing that it is real to you.

This is one of many journeys in life - discovery. What if you treated your life and your tools as something to discover, experience, grow, and deepen within? Not as a matter of fact, but as the art that it is. In being curious, exploring, and applying what you learn, you may discover more than you ever imagined possible.
